MOVING ARTS PREMIER ONE-ACT COMPETITION

Now Accepting Submissions for 2010 Competition.

SUBMISSION PERIOD: NOVEMBER 1, 2008 - JANUARY 31st, 2009 (postmark)

FIRST PRIZE: $200 plus full production in Moving Arts' 16th Annual Premiere One-Act Festival. Finalists get announced online and may receive possible production.

REGULATIONS: Single Set, Cast limit of Eight, Page length 5-50. Our primary interest is the quality of the work. All playwrights are eligible except for Moving Arts company members.

NOTIFICATION: Spring 2010. By e-mail/online.

SUBMISSION FEE: There is no Fee for First Submission. Each additional submission is $10.

THE PROCESS: 200-300 entries (projected) are received and circulated among a panel composed of Moving Arts' Resident Artists; one winner is chosen and is produced along with approximatly 6-8 other One-Act plays during the Festival.

SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: There is no application form.

Include:
--Script, without playwright's name. (see below)
--Cover letter withPlaywright's Name, Title of Script and Complete Contact Information.
--If Playwright is submitting MORE THAN ONE script, include check or money order payable to Moving Arts for the correct amount ($10 per each additional script.)

BLIND SUBMISSIONS: The Premiere One-Act Competition has a blind submission policy; therefore the playwright's name should only appear on the cover letter and nowhere on the script.

Scripts must be three-holed punched, preferably with a cover. Please do not send lose sheets or spiral bound scripts. There is no limit to the number of scripts that may be submitted per playwright as long as the correct entry fee is provided.

ATTENTION: WE ARE ONLY ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS FOR THE ONE-ACT COMPETITION. WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING ANY OTHER SUBMISSIONS. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CHECK BACK WITH US IN FALL OF 2009.
